All That Jazz

VERSE 1
Stare down at the void beside her
Wondered where the man who had laid there was
Couldn’t understand enough to feel the pain
Overnight a fifty thousand dollar loss

CHORUS
Feel the numbness
Running through you veins
Let all that jazz
Take away your pain

VERSE 2

Now looking back he had no time to spare
Not a drop of fear, remorse or despair
Another hunt, a silver plot
Memory erased, a spotless red dot

CHORUS

Feel the numbness
Running through you veins
Let all that jazz
Take away your pain

Different Shade of Blue

VERSE
Everyday I see her while she passes by with her …
Flowin’ hair…
Can’t help it when I look at her even when I know …
She’s so unfair…

Why should I fear the dark
When I feel the spark of love…
Why should I question so…
I know that I should let the river flow…

CHORUS
Your purple and red on my shade of blue…
So long I’ve loved her now…
She smiles without a clue…
Smile, my shade of blue…

Wrote this song for a friend of mine who wanted lyrics to a riff that he intended to make into a song... It was meant to be a love song... I think I’ve become an expert in writing sad love songs…for other people…but they come in handy at times…J Some of the ideas and phrases in the song have also been taken from my diary where I jot down words or phrases of poetry every now and then…
