Pigeons and their friend...

Outside the wrought iron framework of my window…
Have I seen, scrapped off walls and amongst them glow…

Forms of unraveling nature’s mystery of life…
Storms of dirt come and kill the husband, spare his wife…
And on occasional movement, underneath her you can see…
A white universe through whose orifice someone’s struggling to break free…

And now, when I am able to write a flowing line…
I recall how they’ve seen me growing, how they’ve been only mine..
For no-one till now has ever spoken of them outlaws…
Of their shabby feathers, their harmless investigation and claws…

Outside the wrought iron framework of my window has it been…
Years have gone by

And I’ve seen them fly
Into the turquoise cottage
Covered with nature’s temporal green…

The End.(on the tenth august day of 2002)

ANOTHER LEVEL

Verse1

I thought I saw the rain again…
I was mistaken by my pain again…
I thought I left you all alone…
But I was left alone instead…

Verse2

I saw the sunrise through the haze…
I finally found my way out of this maze…
And though I have to stand alone…
I know I’ll stand out in the end…

CHORUS

When I look in my heart, I find the strength to survive…
I’m on another level now, I just know its mine…

(Keys solo)

VERSE 1 repeated once.

..The End..

(This was Level 9's first song I'd written about 3 years ago.. To some it may sound cliched, to some it may sound good..however, I just wrote what I felt honestly.. It was also the signature song of our band which defined our sound..very different from the stuff other bands were doing back then when we came up with this song.. Strangely enough, nowadays original composition is 'in'...and I'm glad about it. Some of the people who listen to Level 9 consider it a 'break-up' song.. ironically enough, I was floating in a beautiful relationship when I wrote it..but it was useful later on.. Another Level was No.1 on 'Top Ten Most Heard Indian Bands' Music' list of a very popular website... :)
