In the Forest

In the Forest

You never see the same river twice..
Be prepared! You gotta be wise..
The next time you go outta that door..
Don’t know what’s there for you in store..

Touching trees and falling leaves..
She smiles as she serenely sees..
The forest full of them who glow..
In pitch darkness they let their light flow..

Seamless orbs of water fall..
In myriad ways looking tall..
You try your best to catch them all..
In front of them you feel so small..

I chose these lines for you to see..
The forest glow worms are you and me..
Looking at them I’ve found the key..
Immersed in light I’m finally free..

And this is my favorite.. very well written, great rhythm and then again images.

The seamless orbs have always been my muses, amazing how the world through a drop of water seems more colorful and surreal..(sure reflection-refraction-etc etc..!!) But the liquid magic of a droplet has been caught beautifully.

and the beginning.. holds much depth... there are many poems in this one..."touching trees and falling leaves"-- beautifully phrased..musical even.

the last stanza i agree is brilliant, romantic and then true.. rare combination! :)

thank you for all the reads!

Shinjini.
